A Life of Crime with Aline Templeton

He will be giving lectures including ‘How to Get a Literary Agent’ in discussion with his own agent, David Headley as well as ‘It’s the Seconds that Count’ discussing how to make secondary characters stand out. Edward Marston & Judith Cutler in Gloscestershire

Tuesday 25th June, 7.30pm – 9pm EMERSON GREEN LIBRARY

Edward Marston is the author of over 40 historical crime novels, including The Home Front Detective series and the best selling Railway Detective mysteries. His series cover very dramatic periods in history: from the Elizabethan theatre to the home front during the Great War. Judith Cutler, by contrast, sets her novels such as Still Waters mostly in the here and now, with a rich and varied cast of investigators: policemen, food standards officers, a regency vicar, college lecturer and now, an antiques dealer.

Ruth Dudley Edwards at Chipping Barnet Crime Writers’ Panel

Chipping Barnet library are hosting a crime writers’ panel featuring best-selling authors Ruth Dudley Edwards,  author of Killing the Emperors, and Ali Knight. Rebecca Tope at Ludlow Fringe Festival

Rebecca Tope has published eighteen crime novels since 1999, set in various areas of rural England. Her main series is the Thea Osborne murder mysteries, which are all set in real villages in the Cotswolds. A new series began in 2012 with ‘The Windermere Witness‘, in which a florist named Persimmon Brown finds herself involved in the investigation into two murders. Tickets are £3 on the door so come and meet this extraordinary author as she talks about her life and her best selling books.

 


Martin Edwards in Cheshire

Join crime writer Martin Edwards as he talks about his latest book in the Lake District Cold-Case mysteries, The Frozen Shroud. Martin will be reading from the book, talking about his writing as well as answering questions at Winsford Library, High Street, Cheshire, CW7 2AS. The event is free but booking is required.
