Synopsis of book»

Brodie Farrell's business 'Looking for Something' prides itself on locating just about anything a client wishes. However her work is cut out for her when she is asked to find the ideal pad for successful 'demon rocker' Jared Fry.

To the amazement of Daniel, her shy and awkward best friend, Brodie loves a challenge and soon finds the ideal location for the rocker at the old coaching inn 'The Diligence'.  Charmed by Fry's business manager Eric Chandos, Brodie wraps up the deal until matters take an ugly turn and a body is discovered on the rocker's new estate.

'Brodie Farrell runs her business "Looking for Something" in Dimmock, England and is adept at finding things for people, for a commission of course. So when Eric Chandos, the beguiling manager of demon rocker Jared Fry, asks her to find that special home for Fry, with certain special requirements, Brodie accepts and finds for him an old inn called the Diligence. The local teens are wild about having Fry, however needless to say the oldsters in town might just have a different opinion about having such a man in their midsts. The place is perfect for Chandos and Brodie is already counting her hefty commission when Fry mentions that there is one more thing he needs, a swimming pool.
No problem, just dig one up, well put one it, but as they're putting it in they do dig up a body and now all of a sudden Brodie's commission is in jeopardy. And, of course, Brodie is going to have to do some amateur sleuthing to try and find out who the dead girl is, or was. And guess what, it appears she may be connected to Fry and Chandos. And to complicated matters Chandos is interested in Brodie who has conflicting feelings about that as she has a sort of boyfriend / lover in Detective Superintendent Jack Deacon, who just happens to be the copper investigating the case.
Well if that doesn't sound intriguing than you don't like mysteries. Brodie is a delightful character with real feelings. The plot is well written and captivating and I have to admit that I was hanging on every word as I read along. You will be too.'Tiffany Ann
